Knocknaheeny Girl by Mike Burgess (c)2007-2008
Her Hair is up, her hair is down.
Its often blond, but never brown.
Her skin it glows, it glows like gold.
She sprays it on , or so I'm told
and mum loves bingo, she anticipates it keenly.
Dad is stuck at home watching reruns of the sweeny.
She would love a man, the last one was a meanie,
its hard for a good girl who lives in Knocknaheeny.
You may not like her fashion sense,
but buddy please don't call her dense.
She works so well at her salon,
shes always neat, her makeup on.
She is no an ejit, she is not a fool,
but thats not what they noticed (told her)
at the T McSwinny School.
She likes her styles and to be clean,
her coffee breaks, her magazines.
and mum loves bingo, she anticipates it keenly.
Dad is stuck at home watching reruns of the sweeny.
She would love a man, the last one was a meanie,
its hard for a good girl who lives in Knocknaheeny.
She had a man, his name was Pat
But doing drugs was where Pats at.
She didn't like the junkie scene.
When she told Pat, he just turned mean.
She is not a child. She is not a tweenie.
Man its not her fault that she looks good in a bikini
She would love a man, the last one was a meanie,
its hard for a good girl who lives in Knocknaheeny.
She goes to town, she likes the craic.
She like to take the taxi back.
She like to show them what she's got,
But since her Pat she drinks a lot.
and mum loves bingo, she anticipates it keenly
